We found ourselves incessantly capturing images of the stunning shophouses adorned with intricate designs and bold colors. The lively street art provided an additional burst of color to our photos. Joo Chiat Road unquestionably emerged as an Instagram-worthy street, and we couldn’t resist seizing every moment of our time there.

Fairmont Singapore mural exhibit
Stretching across a span of 60 meters, the enthralling painting portrays 27 distinct scenes of Singapore’s evolving landscape – from a collection of kampongs on an island to the contemporary metropolis we inhabit today. The scenes are seamlessly interconnected and will be showcased in a semi-circular arrangement. Yip Yew Chong expresses, “While this exhibition features a single artwork, it is the one piece I hope all of Singapore will come to witness. It stands as my most significant painting to date and serves as an expression of my love and tribute to Singapore.”
